Lifting Communities. Changing Lives.

Cheryl Hampton

Cheryl Hampton still remembers the day when she found out her childhood home that has been in her family for generations was facing foreclosure. With a low credit score, a tight budget, and two sons to raise, Cheryl didn’t know if she could save a vital part of her family history.

A Southern Bancorp billboard had Cheryl asking herself “What if they can help me?” When she arrived at the branch, she was connected with a credit counselor. They worked together to rebuild her credit, refinance her mortgage, and save her family home. She looks forward to securing her home for generations to come.
